100% percent. However, there are a couple of circumstances where we highly recommend attending in person, including sessions for adolescents and the first session for couples.

In your first counseling session, you can expect a 50-minute welcoming and confidential environment. Here’s a general idea of what to anticipate: Introductions: Crystal will introduce herself and explain her approach to therapy. Assessment: You may discuss your background, current challenges, and goals for counseling. This helps Crystal understand your unique situation. Setting Expectations: Crystal will explain how sessions typically work, including the frequency and duration. Confidentiality: You’ll be informed about the confidentiality policy, so you know your privacy is protected. Questions: Feel free to ask any questions about the counseling process, Crystal's qualifications, or what to expect in future sessions. Open Dialogue: The session will be conversational, allowing you to express your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. Remember, the first session is often about building rapport and understanding your needs, so it’s perfectly okay to take your time and share what you feel comfortable with.

How long will I be in counseling?

How frequent will my meetings be?

Many people start with weekly sessions, especially when addressing significant issues or during the initial stages of therapy. This frequency allows for consistent progress and support. As you make progress, you might transition to biweekly sessions. This can provide more time for reflection and application of what you discuss in therapy. Some individuals may eventually move to monthly sessions for ongoing support or check-ins, especially if they feel more stable and confident in managing their challenges.
